Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 2026

Thank you for using PhysLex - Physics Dictionary ("App"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding your information.

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

PhysLex does not require sign-up or login, and we do not collect any personal information from you. There is no account creation, no name, email, or phone number requested by the App, and no personal profile is created or stored on any server.

The App does not ask you to provide any personal information. The only data generated while using the App — such as the physics terms you search, your language preferences, and your bookmarked or favourite terms — is described in Section 2 below, and it stays on your device.

If you choose to contact us directly by email for support or feedback, any information you include in that email (such as your email address) is used only to respond to you and is not linked to your in-app activity.

Device Information

The App may automatically collect:

This information is used only to improve the App, maintain stability, and diagnose technical problems.

2. Dictionary Data and Local Storage

PhysLex works fully offline. The physics dictionary is bundled with the App and stored locally on your device. Physics term lookups do not need to be sent to any server.

Your recent searches, bookmarked or favourite physics terms, selected languages, and other app preferences are stored locally on your device. This data is not uploaded to us or stored on our servers.

Your locally stored data remains on your device unless you clear it yourself, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App.

You can remove bookmarked or favourite terms and clear recent searches from within the App where these options are available.

3. Text-to-Speech

The App may use your device's built-in text-to-speech engine to pronounce physics terms and definitions aloud.

Text-to-speech processing is performed using the available text-to-speech functionality on your device. PhysLex does not collect or store your audio recordings through this feature.

4. Advertising

The free version of the App may display advertisements through third-party advertising providers such as Google AdMob.

These providers may collect or process limited information, which may include:

This information may be used to provide, measure, and improve advertisements according to the advertising provider's policies and applicable consent requirements.

PhysLex may offer a Premium subscription that can provide benefits such as removing advertisements or unlocking additional features or content.

If you purchase a Premium subscription, payment processing is securely handled by Google Play. PhysLex does not collect or store your credit card, debit card, or other payment information.

Subscription management, billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled through your Google Play account and are subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.

6. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services including:

These third-party services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms of service.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information associated with the App.

However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

PhysLex is intended as an educational and reference application for learning physics concepts and terminology.

The App does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

9. Educational Content

PhysLex provides physics terminology, definitions, explanations, formulas, units, examples, translations, and related educational information for learning and reference purposes.

While we make reasonable efforts to provide useful and accurate information, the content may contain errors or omissions. The App should be used as an educational reference and should not be considered a substitute for a qualified teacher, instructor, textbook, professional advice, or other authoritative source.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, our services, or applicable requirements.

Any changes become effective when the updated Privacy Policy is published.

Continued use of the App after changes are published indicates acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
